I changed my theme because the last theme was warm and cuddly. That one was perfect for winter but now it’s almost spring. Warm and cuddly won’t make the cut in springtime. I like this theme because it’s so fresh and uncluttered. I could use that.

…Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery. It is by far the best classic book I’ve ever read. All the rest of the classics are long, boring, and have too much description. Well, enough to make me sleepy. Anne is a lively orphan girl who gets sent by mistake to an old maid and an old bachelor who wanted a boy, not a girl. Matthew Cuthbert, (the old bachelor) really likes Anne and persuades his sister Marilla Cuthbert (the old maid) to keep her. Anne is always getting into huge trouble. By accident. Anne Shirley has no evil intentions. She accidentally gave her friend, Diana, currant wine at her tea party when she thought it was raspberry cordial and Diana got totally drunk. Then when she made a cake for the new minister and his wife she flavored it with anondyne liniment instead of vanilla!!! (Don’t worry, I don’t know what anondyne liniment is, either.) So, as you can tell, Anne of Green Gables is not your ordinary classic. I’m already on the third book, Anne of the Island. I started the series a week ago. I think.

You know what? I’m not sorry for not posting anything for a few months. IT…DOESN’T…MATTER…isn’t that wonderful?

Oh, so many things have been going on in the Boudreaux household. First off, I turned thirteen on Friday, February 13. Isn’t that fabulous? I had so much fun with my family. My cousins are a riot. Here’s a pic:

That’s me and my cousins (not all of them) pretending to read Mother Goose Rhymes while my mother thinks it’s so cute and snaps a million pictures.

This morning, I took a writing exam. It was a response to literature and it was a breeeeeze. I couldn’t believe how good it turned out. Yes, I toot my own horn quite often. Get used to it.

I AM THIRTEEN!!!!!

Yay! My birthday was last Friday, and I turned thirteen (on Friday the thirteenth!) Isn’t that awesome? Anyways, sorry I haven’t written in eons. I’ve been busy, busy, busy. More later! I’ll try to pry my mom away from Facebook. She just discovered the Internet and it’s hard for her to leave. =D Gotta run!

Back to school again…

Well, for me, it’s just the short walk from my bedroom to the dining room table. But it’s still just as painful. Better than trudging a mile to get to the torture chamber I used to endure.

Choir starts back up again!!! Oh, this week will be a very happy week for me. Happiness, happiness, happiness. I get to see all my wonderful choir friends again. We’ll be welcoming about five more members this coming season and I can’t wait. Now our choir will have seventeen people in it!!! It’ll be less obvious if I make a mistake since there will be sixteen more kids to drown me out. More happiness.

If you haven’t heard of the Pioneer Woman, you must be living under a rock and never surfin’ the ‘net. Ree Drummond, (the pioneer woman) is a lady who used to be a spoiled city girl and now lives on a ranch in Nowhere, Oklahoma, being SuperWoman. She juggles ranch life, cooking, cleaning, kids, and a husband extremely well for being a mild agoraphobic. Check out her website: http://www/thepioneerwoman.com/ Ree’s real name is Ann-Marie. She has a retarded brother, Mike, who called her “Wee-Wee” when she first came home from the hospital. Her parents, (bless their compassionate hearts) steered “Wee-Wee” into Ree. Lots of stuff going on. For starters, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I can’t believe that it’s 2009. I mean, my birthday seemed like yesterday, and that’s in February!!! Also, Happy Birthday, Jesus! (Merry Christmas, too.) I got tons of new clothes for Christmas. I was in heaven. (Yeah, I was kind of short on jeans for a while. I was doing laundry, like, every two days.)

My mom is GONE!!! Not exactly, but she left this morning to go visit her old friends and she went with a friend. She’ll be gone for a couple days, I guess. My dad always heaps my brother and I with lists of chores, so I hope I survive.

I gotta go make a birthday cake. Oh, crap, I forgot. We’re out of milk. I better tell Dad.

Long Time, No Write…

Sorry I’ve neglected you. Here’s the update of what’s gone on in the Boudreaux household for the last few days. Or week. Whatever.
Christmas was fabulous. I got a bunch of new clothes and Christmas money. OMG, I got the prettiest new scarf from Abercrombie! It’s grey and white striped with a fringe on the end. I love it. It’s so awesome. My aunt all of us cousins these really cute striped slippers from Old Navy. They’re really awesome and cute. I really missed going to a Christmas Eve church service this year. We always go to the candlelight services and they’re so fun.

Today, all I did was send out my Thank-You notes (for the presents I got) and play Monopoly with my brother. Oh, and clean my room a bit. The day after Christmas is usually really fun, but this year it’s pretty dull because I got clothes and $$. Not something that can occupy you. I’m too old for toys, anyways. Twelve is way too old for toys and dolls.

I better bail. I have other things that need attention right now.

It’s Over!!!

Nothing can contain my excitement. MY CHOIR CONCERT IS OVER!!!! I was dreading that concert and I got it over with yesterday afternoon. Our director had us wear jazz shoes because they’re black and they blend. I now loathe jazz shoes. I think the soles are plastic. My feet were aching by the time I got home. My dad said he forgot to go to the grocery store to get some things for dinner, and my brother offered to go. I said, “I’m staying home,” as I slid out of the car. My dad yelled at me for not asking to stay home *rolls eyes and sighs* and then he made me come with him. Let me remind you that I was still wearing this billowy, ginormous, button down concert shirt, tuxedo pants, (the waist high ones), and plastic soled jazz shoes. I would rather die than go to the store wearing that. It was so painful. Luckily, my brother sympathized and he hid me as much as he could. What a cool brother. We only saw one guy from the bike team, and he knew me will enough to know that I was just at a concert.

*Shudder*

It’s horrifying.

I have some issues I must confess…

Of course I have issues. We all do. I just felt like listing them because they’re kind of funny.

Issue #1: I get excited when I lock doors. Such as, if I’m going in the bathroom to touch up my eyeshadow or brush my hair, I lock the door for fun. Just so that I can dance in the mirror or be weird. Even though there’s only four of us here at home, I still rarely get alone time. That explains it.

Issue #2: I’m totally obsessed with Twilight. Duh. My name is BELLA CULLEN!!! Mwa, ha, ha, ha, ha!!!! Edward is MINE. Get it, got it, good.

Issue #3: I really hate spelling things wrong on email, blogs, letters (who writes them anymore?) I know how to type really fast, and it doesn’t make sense to me to instead say, “c u l8er,” rather than, “See you later!” What’s the point? It was faster for me to spell the second than the first, so why not?

Well, that’s all I have time for, today, but I’ll post more issues later.
